I've hand-cut 8 pieces of Dichroic glass for this design using my beautiful blue colour palette - textures in crinkle silver, a clear lined light aqua blue, a floral texture in a clear light aqua, a smooth mid-blue as well as a smooth fusion of blue, all next to a dramatic 'mushroom' pattern in aqua/black down one side, layered with a clear silver pattern to bring it all together. Stunning symmetry! Capturing the true lustre of my glasswork through the camera lens - simply does not do it justice. I named this textured pendant 'Launceston' as I wanted to provide an Australian edge to some of my pieces when I started on my glass journey many years ago. Size : 43 x 34mm (approx) -
I've hand-cut 10 pieces of Dichroic glass to this 4 layered design in the beautiful purple tones. The characteristics of the glass come into play after my firing process. There's only 2 colours used to create this design, the once smooth, has now become a course crinkle purple for the base and third layer, which has been beautifully contrasted with a dappled silver glass. This heart shape pendant has been designed with my rainbow colour palette. I've hand-cut more than 20 pieces of Dichroic glass, then after my firing process, the characteristics come into play. There's such a beautiful mix of textures and patterns across the full rainbow spectrum, in hues of blue, green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, silver and accents in a clear soft pink and turquoise to give depth to the glass. My hand etched 'Dragonflies' pendant is framed in black to give strength to the symbol. The once smooth Dichroic glass has altered after my firing process to become a beautiful design in a fine crinkle silver texture. The dragonfly has been a symbol of happiness, good luck, prosperity, new beginnings and change for many centuries. No matter what, this pendant will be special to you! This bracelet has been created with my warm colour palette. I've hand-cut 16 pieces of textured Dichroic glass, then after my firing process the characteristics of the glass come into play. The striped piece has become organic in shape in a wonderful cyan yellow with blue/green hues but also a strong reflective colour of green/blue in each button. The contrast textured button has also changed in shape organically with the same coloured hues. This is a dramatic bracelet!
